The Importance of Remembering Christ
Having a strong relationship with Christ is imperative in the world that we live in. We need the guidance and example of one who has experienced all that we have. He knows what we have been through and knows the help that we need. He is our Brother and our Friend and is always willing and ready to help us through our trials. We need to remember Him each day in order to stay on the right path and there are Christian accessories to help us.
The Story of Christ
Jesus Christ came to the earth through the Virgin Mary. Mary was overcome by the Spirit and conceived a child. Mary, who was betrothed to a man named Joseph, was exposed to ridicule and unkindness from those in her community. During a certain time of the year each resident needed to travel to Bethlehem to pay their taxes and Mary and Joseph weren’t an exception. Mary was large with child and Christ was to be born at any day. They searched for places to lodge and upon finding nothing they were led to a manger where they could stay. This is where Jesus Christ was born – in a lowly stable among the hay and animals. According to prophecy a new star was shining on the night that He was born and was the sign for all to see that Christ the Lord had come to the earth. Christ was raised in Galilee and progressed in the knowledge of the Gospel as he grew. At the age of 33 He was subject to judgment and crucifixion by those who didn’t know or chose not to believe that He was the Savior of mankind. Three days following the crucifixion He arose from the tomb to be resurrected. He dwells in heaven until the day of the Second Coming when He will return to the earth once again to dwell among us.
Ways to Remember Christ
There are many ways to remember Christ and a simple internet search or church meeting can guide us. We have the scriptures that we can read morning and night to begin and end our day with the Gospel. We can place Christian accessories around our house to bring Him to mind throughout the day. However you choose to remember the Savior is up to you; the important thing is that you do.
