Donate your Old Cars and Truck or Salvage them

You have an old truck that you have had since high school, or at least for a long time.  It hasn’t run for a while, or it does run but only by holding your mouth a certain way and knowing exactly how to finagle the clutch.

What do you do with your old junk truck in Orlando when the time finally comes to say goodbye?  Do you call a Tampa auto salvage or a Jacksonville salvage yard? You can, or you can donate it to charity.  Cars for breast cancer is a wonderful organization where 90% of all donations go directly to research, grants and breast cancer awareness programs.  The charity will pick up your car if it runs or not, at your home or office.  They will issue you an IRS tax receipt and take care of all additional paperwork.  There is no cost to you and they will take your truck regardless of its condition.

Another option is to donate your truck or car a kidney foundation.  They will take unwanted boats, recreational vehicles and motorcycles also.  Call the toll free number and they will send you a packet to fill out including titles and other paperwork.  Once the paperwork is returned, the foundation will pick up the vehicle to sell at a local auction.  If your car is being impounded by the city, donate it instead and avoid penalties for abandoned vehicles.

Cars for Veterans is another option if you want to donate you car to charity.  They also offer free towing if the car or truck is not running; they handle all the paper work, DMV, smog, and IRS papers.  They offer the largest resale network to help you get the highest deduction possible. The car donations help to fund National Veterans Services Fund.  A little perk offered by the Cars for Veteran is a three day voucher to stay at one of 38 resorts.

If donating your car to charity sounds like a good idea, but one that you cannot afford there are companies that pay you for hauling off your old treasure.  Tampa auto salvage, Jacksonville salvage yards will haul off your truck and you pocket a little cash in the process.  It is certainly easy.  You get an offer, get rid of your vehicle, and are paid for the process.

It is hard to say good-bye to that trusted friend that has sat in your driveway forever, but the time is here to kiss it good-bye and help a charity or pocket some cash.
