Maria Hamilton's Biography

by Jill Townsend of Maria Hamilton Designs ( 30-Mar-2011 )

MARIA HAMILTON

If jewelry is a language, Maria Hamilton was born to speak it. Maria’s passion for designing one-of-a-kind masterpieces, as well as re-inventing vintage jewelry, has quickly brought her to the top of her profession, and her designs are soon to be found in Europe and Latin America as well as the United States.

Maria credits her birthplace, Caracas, Venezuela, with inspiring much of her work, which is characterized by cutting-edge designs offered in a variety of textures and colors: sterling silver, 14 or 18 karat gold combined with precious and semi-precious stones, fresh-water pearls and the finest cubic Zirconia. Maria designs rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces, as well as a recent addition to her impressive portfolio -- custom purses and handbags.

Maria, who has lived in the U.S. since 2003, has a MBA in Marketing from Central University in Venezuela, and worked for several years in the financial world before founding “Maria Hamilton Designs” in 2009.  Maria attended the Boca Raton Museum Art School prior to starting her business, a decision, she says, that was guided by her passion for design, as well as by her innate creativity and love of art. Her ability to see beauty in nature and urban landscapes makes every Maria Hamilton Design a unique masterpiece that owners treasure.
