As a Christian, restoring the hope you have makes the difficult bearable and the impossible possible. As a believer in Jesus Christ, He will touch you with His power to assure you of the reality of the Hope He has set before you now in this life and the hope in the life to come.
(Col. 1:5 = For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel.)
This has nothing to do with “planting your feet firmly in mid-air” or “pumping air into a “high-hope balloon”, but rather it’s going from Mylar to Metal, from wishful thinking to the hope-filled knowing which is deep seated in the promises of Scripture; the Anchor of your soul's hope.
(Rom. 15:4 = For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.)
(Heb. 6:19 = Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.)
As a Christian, prayerfully restoring the hope you once had is a stabilizing factor to secure your position of Christ-centered confidence in times which would insist on being otherwise. Restoring the Christian hope is the stuff life is reconstructed with and what dreams are made of. The Christian Hope can be our central theme, intentionally.
Scripturally, psychologically, and scientifically as the Lord leads with faith and the Holy Spirit inspires with hope, let's apply it to our lives in practical ways. Eventually we will see our hope grow and abound to the point that faith will flow with abundant abandon. Remember, the Christian Hope is in Jesus who is so good to us all the time and has never-ending steadfast love and tender mercies towards us.
