Chef Shigeo Lee's Akasaka has been a fixture of The Japanese Restaurant Community in Seattle for nearly twenty five years. Based just south of Seatac Airport in Federal Way Washington since 1987 and offering some of Seattle's most innovative Japanese fare, Akasaka has long been considered one of Puget Sound's Finest Japanese Restaurants.
Chef Lee began studying Japanese and Korean cooking in the early eighties, beginning his apprenticeship at the now defunct Shogun restaurant in Federal Way Washington in 1982. In the mid eighties Chef Lee joined Nikko Japanese Restaurant in South Seattle where he studied under Shiro Kashiba, Seattle's most celebrated Sushi Chef. Akasaka strives to provide the finest and freshest Japanese and Korean dishes to patrons from all over Puget Sound.
