Business Description

I paint wildlife art of North America because I have a strong link to wildlife. My best friend operated Wildlife Return for a number of years and because of her I came to appreciate wildlife in all its forms and the horrible things man does to these poor animals in the name of hunting. I know this because she used to repair all the injuries and return the animals that could be saved back to the wild. I got to experience first hand the joy of seeing an injured animal go back to the wild and live the life it was intended. The animal injuries were the result of hunters misfiring, people taking "abandoned?" babies from the wild, birds getting hit by vehicles, or babies left after the hunt. I don't hunt but I am not a crusader against hunting, just against poor hunting habits and unnecessary destruction. I am not a tree hugger or a consevationist, but I do wish people would respect the habitat and the wetlands. And I like to paint the animals because it's the best way I know of to learn their body parts and their plumage or fur patterns. As a bonus, I get to learn about light, photography, research, field work, nature, habitat, flora and fauna and regions. I am so very blessed.
