Business Description
Bateman's Produce and Applehouse is family-owned and operated in Franklin, NC. Since our company opened its doors in 1972, weve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other business may offer similar services, but our products are the best, and come with a personal touch.
Gene Bateman established the store in 1972 as one of three businesses on the same property. After he passed away in 1995, his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Brenda, took over the operations.
Originally, the Applehouse sold a variety of apples and other local produce, along with jams, jellies, preserves, ciders, and vegetables. We have now grown to offer the original items along with seasonal flowers, crafts, and yard art (concrete statues).
The Store typically opens in early April, selling fresh flowers and hanging baskets. It closes for the season in December, after Apple season ends. Please contact us through our online store, via email, or give us a call if you would like to order something during the off-season.
