Gigette Bejin is a registered patent attorney and founder of Bejin, PLC. Gigette has developed long-term client relationships by delivering successful results to her clients in a cost-effective manner. Gigette's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, opinion work, intellectual property transactions and client counseling. Prior to starting her own firm, Gigette was a senior-level, attorney at a leading national firm where she was responsible for preparing opinions as well as drafting and prosecuting patent applications. She specializes in vehicle body systems, medical devices, and vehicle engine systems and components. Gigette also previously served as in-house patent counsel at Ford Motor Company for several years, where she was responsible for managing the body technology docket, evaluating invention disclosures, filing and prosecuting patent applications, negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions, resolving intellectual property related disputes with suppliers, and counseling and educating the engineering and purchasing organizations in intellectual property related matters. Having worked in the roles of both the client ("Ford") and the outside law firm over the course of 13 years, Gigette understands the importance of building valuable patent portfolios and crafting patent strategies which provide clients with a competitive advantage.
