Throughout our history of 31 years in business, the major part of our work has been building new, architecturally designed homes. A large part of our work has also been providing California remodeling and maintenance for older homes. In fact we have kept relationships with clients and families from our early years, updating the homes we built decades ago. We are looking for clients that want quality and experience at a reasonable price. We have spent many years in a competitive bid market and understand cost versus value very well. Clients, architects and builders should all have a clear and common goal for a successful project. We have a long history of working with many different architects on projects of many designs. We also understand that clients have their own unique reasons for creating a project and having a good rapport is essential. Another aspect of our work is detailed home inspections. This is a service offered on homes we will not be doing other work on for at least two years. We have special training in this area and customers building a new home or remodeling can be assured we understand all aspects of a home. This understanding of the specialty work performed by subcontractors makes us more knowledgeable than most general contractors. This means we are far less likely to miss any oversights made by subcontractors. This is also important for clients selling their homes later, as a good inspection is very important to the sale of a home (being clear, we do not offer home inspections on houses we have built or remodeled). There are many problems that arise later in a home as a consequence of poor building practices, some that are considered standard. Having the expertise of home inspections makes us more aware of the consequences of building practices we use. Having specialized in home building for decades we see how houses have evolved.
