This neighborhood Chinese restaurant, just steps off the Green Line, offers Mandarin, Szechuan and Hong Kong cuisines in a family-friendly environment.
Our restaurant makes such great Peking duck, even tourists from China and other Asian countries have us on their itinerary. It's so good, our Chinese name is "Peking Duck House." Some of the other specialties on our menu, out of more than 130 items, include crispy Hunan whole fish, scallops with garlic sauce and beef asparagus. Boneless spare ribs, Peking ravioli and Buddha's delight are popular with our corporate catering clients. Come join us for our Mandarin, Szechwan and Hong Kong style dishes.

I love this restaurant in Brookline right off the T. It is famous for the Chef Changs chicken which is like a General Gau's chicken and it's delicious. They also have really good appetizers. Their prices are... (more)

They fry the duck! That is NOT how you make peking duck. Nothing wrong with liking fried duck but don't be fooled into thinking you are having an authentic dish. If you've ever had real peking duck in Chinatown, other... (more)

Great food all the time. Very consistent. Friendly service. I eat Chinese food once a week and have eaten at many restaurants. None come close to the quality of this restaurant. (more)

Chef Chang's is a solid Chinese restaurant. Their food has always come out hot and delicious. They have ample vegetarian options. My favorite entree has to be their General Gau's chicken. As far as I can remember,... (more)

Once you have had good Peking Duck, it is hard to be satisfied with any other type or quality of duck. After my college days, I spent some time in DC where this high-end restaurant with an up and coming Chinese gourmet... (more)

Surprising, I love this place. I grew up eating chinese food every day of my life and am usually wary of the authenticy of chinese food outside of Chinatown, but this place was quite tasty. I am also usually wary of... (more)

In Short
In the 1980s, this popular neighborhood spot was the first to bring General Gau's chicken to Boston. Peking duck, another menu staple, is served with homemade crepes and scallion "brushes" to... (more)
