We offer sand on site with which we use dust containment. If you are planning on staying in the home while we are sanding and finishing rest assured we take all precautions to make this an easier experience for you. We also have low VOC waterbased finishes from Bona Kemi, Glitsa and Dura seal, these finishes dry fast and have a very low odor allowing you to stay in the home without any fumes. We also have oil modified polyurethane for people who like the tradional oil look or we offer the true swedish finish which is a conversion varnish from Glista or Synteco. If prefinished flooring is more what you prefer we do that too. We offer prefinished installs of solid nail down or floating floors that are engineered. We also install cork flooring as well. The benefits of having a prefinished floor is, no dust from sanding or smell from the finish being used. When we are done you are back in your home living on your new floor right away.

Mike started Distinctive Wood Floors, Inc. in 2007 to give superior hardwood floors at competitive prices. In 2001 he began working in the hardwood trade right here in Central Oregon working for two of the most reputable hardwood flooring companies, gaining knowledge and crafting his trade. He attended NWFA training schools to further his knowledge of proper install and sanding techniques to give you quality wood floors. Done right the first time. The products that we use are top notch. From the wood flooring that we install down to the sandpaper that we use, you can rest assured you are getting nothing but the best products.
