Message from the Business
Originally Luigi's Barber Shop, the business was purchased by Garrett Kenny in 2001 at age 19. Continuing the tradition started by Luigi Feole in the 1970's, Garrett kept the barber shop a true men's shop, rather than converting it to a unisex salon as was the popular trend at the time. In late 2001, Garrett was joined by Sam Cannarella, the founder of Parisian Day Spa in Cromwell. For over seven years Sam loyally provided the type of old-fashioned service that his father, also a barber, had provided for previous decades. In 2004, Neal Henry joined Garrett's and developed a sterling reputation that would be the foundation of his own barber shop. After several years, Neal ventured out on his own and started Clippers Barber Shop in Plainville, CT, where he still operates.
