Artist Jon Houglum of Houglum Fine Art, Franklin, North Carolina: Jon's diversified painting ability includes landscapes, wildlife, old structures, North Carolina waterfalls, rivers, lakes, beach scenes, low country scenes, and still lifes. Jon's special gift as an artist is the ability to render an oil portrait that captures the spirit of a person in a realistic painting style. He teaches oil painting classes and workshops in his studio at Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center and he travels to share his skills wherever invited.
