Business Description

Nimat Marie, formerly known by her birth name as Cynthia Marie Bridges/McLaine, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her journey as a Muslim began explosively; therefore, she decided to share the story of her mother's reaction to her conversion to Islam in the first chapter since this marks the beginning of her journey as a Muslim. Nimat has first hand knowledge of how Muslims are often discriminated and scorned by the society, but, also, in their families. However, working through the emotional and physical persecution, owing to her mother?s reaction, the healing process for her began by developing Strength through the Religion of Al- Islam. Nimat says, "Oftentimes life trials take a toll on our emotional state. A weaken emotional state can cloud our judgment resulting in serious consequences. Thus, strengthening our emotional self becomes a much-needed part of the healing process. Additionally, Nimat shows the common threads that exist between America's moral value system and the tenets of Islam. The media's negative one-sided portrayal has led to deception and confusion by promoting an inaccurate perception. --Nimat Marie Author
