Island Park is another favorite, A scenic drive on the unpaved Island Park Road, along the northern edge of the park, not only passes some impressive Fremont petroglyph panels this breath taking view offers a favorite place for a sunset photography experience. Fantasy Canyon, these unique formations are the official designation of an area composed of unique erosional features located about 25 miles south of Vernal, in northeastern Utah. Even though the area is somewhat small (it is not really a canyon) it contains some of the most unique geologic features in the world. Flaming Gorge National Recreation area contains 207,363 acres of land and water, almost equally divided between Utah and Wyoming. The view offers an incredible sight, enclosed by brightly colored canyon walls and set amidst hundreds of thousands of acres of forested hills. Red Cloud Loop, This tour offers great vistas, pretty meadows and canyons, lodgepole pine forest, wildlife and, perhaps best of all, the extraordinary McConkie Ranch petroglyphs, which are often cited as among the best in the world. At the ranch, you can visit the ranch's museum, where you'll discover relics from the frontier days. Developed camping is available at Bridge Hollow or Indian Crossing campgrounds nestled along the Green River, adjacent to the ranch. The tour provides amazing scenery and wildlife.
