Hello! My name is Jackie Strong I obtained my bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in 1989 and began my nursing career on a fast-paced Oncology Unit; after five years of working oncology. I spread my wings and traveled as a nurse for a while; I lived in Missouri, California, Texas, Oklahoma and South Africa working almost every facet of the nursing profession.
Teaching has always been my life goal and when I reached my golden years and after overcoming many life challenges I made a decision to reach for the things I dreamed about. The desire to teach inspired and motivated me to pursue my master's degree. I obtained my master's degree in nursing education (all in an asynchronous classroom) through the University of Phoenix ---I graduated in 2008.
For the past four years, I have been teaching nursing school for a local baccalaureate nursing program, my primary responsibilities were developing and teaching online courses through Blackboard Software---which is still going well. I have one son who has provided me with the most wonderful grandbaby in the world, her name is Cherish, ---and she?s 4 years old.
