Business Description
Organized around Chelsea, a stork mascot, keeping with the priorities embodied by storks, "family, community consciousness, and nurturing values", the Chelsea Foundation works to ensure a quality of life and a level of prosperity for the future by putting in place the Quality Effort Award Program.
Understanding and retention of information cannot be mandated, only encouraged; this is especially true where children are concern! Students suffering from trauma, depression and a host of other problems may find it difficult to focus in the classroom. They can quickly find themselves falling behind their classmates who are "achievers," and not see their own progress. These students often stop trying when the emphasis is on results that seem remote; and worse, they begin to interpret their failures with two words, "I'm dumb!"
The foundation works to encourage literacy, motivate creative thinking, and rewards effort by providing three tools to students.
