Business Description
The University of New Orleans (UNO), offers a Master's program and Louisiana teacher's certification in the education of deaf and hard of hearing students. The program is delivered via videoconferencing and on-site 1-week summer courses. There are three tracks. For individuals with a teaching certification in ANY area the Masters of Education is available(M.ED.); for individuals with a bachelor;'s degree in a non-education field the Master's of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) is available. Both pathways are 36 graduate credit hour programs and can be completed primarily online in 2 years. There is also a certification (add-on) option only. This final option is for those individuals who are teachers and wish to add additional certification in Louisiana in Hearing Impairment but do not wish to pursue a Master's degree.
