YOGA Level 1 Classes – Discover! Our Beginner classes are powerful, learning experiences in which you will literally re-discover your body, how it works, and what it can do. All Beginner classes are designed to give you the time and support to understand the proper alignment of Yoga asanas (postures) and breathing technique. You will begin by focusing on the basics, but it won’t stop there. Level 1 is always exciting because in every class you learn and do something new. Level 1-2 Classes – Explore! – After you feel comfortable with the postures taught in Level 1 classes you will be ready to move to Level 1-2. These more challenging classes continue to emphasize the fundamentals of yoga while presenting the poses and sequencing the class in a more challenging way. Level 2 Classes - Experience! – Level 2 classes are designed to take you to the intermediate level where you will expand on your strength, stamina and flexibility as you master more advanced postures (inversions, backbends) and more demanding sequences. Level 2 classes will help you take your practice to a whole new level. Level 2-3 Classes – Expand! – Level 2-3 classes presume students are familiar with intermediate yoga postures (including inversions and backbends). In these classes you will use your knowledge of postures and breathing to practice exciting, physically demanding and challenging sequences and variations. The pace of these classes is faster, you will go deeper, and your teacher will help you achieve breakthroughs in your practice and your self-awareness. We recommend you have a year of solid Yoga under your mat before you join 2-3 classes POLE FITNESS Pole Dance 1: Pole Dance 1 incorporates sensual and exotic dance moves, stretching, floor work, learning to walk around the pole, using momentum properly, hip movements, different grips on the pole, basic spins from the ground and static positions. POLE DANCE 2: Builds on what you learned in Pole Dance 1. More floor work, basic spins and learning to control your momentum. Learn to “sit” on the pole from the ground. All spins and climbs are learned from the floor to ensure safety and success. More techniques to help improve balance, posture, flexibility and co-ordination are incorporated at this level. POLE DANCE 3: Now that you are feeling sexier and more confident about your abilities, Pole Dance 3 will introduce you to intermediate spins, climbing the pole, more floor work, holding entire body weight off the ground, and basic inverts. POLE DANCE 4: Includes more intermediate pole work, more complex inverts, combination spins, inverted spins, and inverted body slide, introduction to floor handstands, and splits from the ground. POLE DANCE 5: This level focuses on advanced pole techniques and builds on the moves from the previous levels. Advanced moves are introduced that will push your strength and flexibility to new heights. Handstands and elbow stands against the pole, advanced pole suspensions and inverts, shoulder mount and splits on the pole are learned. POLE MASTERS: You’ve done it! You have ascended to the highest level of pole dancing. In this course you will learn extended holds, handstands with variations, handspring full layout to split, and superman combinations.
