inspiration one speech at a time Hi my name is Wayed Kabir I am a Vanguard University Grad. I have been doing Inspirational speaking for the past year since 2009. I was 2 pounds when I was born. I have been in a wheelchair all my life.. I have been through a lot of struggles in life, but I never let anything stop me in life. I love giving speeches I love changing the world one speech at a time. So don't wait, contact me today for a speech that will change your life for the better. I am 24 years old. I have cerebral palsy, which prevents me from walking and stops me from having normal motor skills. Here is more on Cerebral palsy, Cerebral refers to the cerebrum, which is the affected area of the brain (although the disorder most likely involves connections between the cortex and other parts of the brain such as the cerebellum), and palsy refers to disorder of movement. CP is caused by damage to the motor control centers of the developing brain and can occur during pregnancy (about 75 percent), during childbirth (about 5 percent) or after birth (about 15 percent) up to about age three. Further research is needed on adults with CP as the current literature is highly focused on the pediatric patient. There is no known cure for CP. Medical intervention is limited to the treatment and prevention of complications arising from CP's effects. A 2003 study put the economic cost for CP sufferers in theUS at $921,000 per case, including lost income. (wikipedia.com) Even with so many struggles in my daily life I have always kept a positive attitude every day, or at least I try to! I like to think I am here for a reason on many levels. When I was born I weighed 2 pounds 3 ounces. I almost died that day when I came home from the hospital. My parents said that my lips were turning purple and they took me back to the hospital. I spent weeks hooked up to a bunch of tubes for oxygen and monitoring. That must have been very scary for my parents. I am glad that I am alive today, I?ll tell you that much! Back in high school I was not motivated and the teachers in the Special Ed department did not believe in me. The teachers thought I couldn?t make it in college. But here I am today, about to graduate from Vanguard University in the spring of 2010! That?s why if you stick with it and have the right attitude towards life anything is possible, at least I think so.
