The service was fantastic. The pizza was awful. The crust has NO flavor -- it is, however, very thin...which is normally good. Like eating cardboard that was slightly burned. Nice amount of toppings...if you don't... (more)

Amazingly thin - real Italian sausage and stretchy mozzarella. You can't find a thin crust like this with all the toppings. We travel 600 miles three or four times a year to have their pizza. It's incredible.... (more)

Aside from the parking mess, Balistreri's is an enjoyable restaurant with a great atmosphere, very good service, reasonable prices, and one of the best pizzas around. Their other menu items are also excellent, but... (more)

Have been there several time, the pizza is the best. Parking on the street can be difficult to find during the busy supper hours but it is worth the trip. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. You can't go wrong... (more)

After reading so many positive reviews I was psyched to try the "Best Pizza in Milwaukee" The crust is not only cracker thin, cracker is exactly what it is. No yeast in this dough, it's unleavened. Crispy, crunchy,... (more)

This pizza is the best in Milwaukee. Seating is a little crowded at times. I would try to go at a less busy time. But the food is top notch. Service is exceptional also. (more)

I have been hearing about how great Balistreri's pizza is for years. I went there a couple of weeks ago and received great service on a busy night. The eggplant appetizer was outstanding. The pizza was good, but not the... (more)

Being originally from Chicago, we tend to be extremely critical of pizza, italian beef and hotdogs. Balistreri's is easily the most flavorful pizza restaurant in town and rivals "home Run Inn" and "connies" from... (more)

I began my "pizza career" at the Caradaro Club in the third ward as a freshman at Marquette in 1953. When they went under I switched to Balistreri's which moved from 2nd place to first IMHO. I now live in Florida, but go... (more)

This is by far the best pizza I have ever had in my 27 years on this earth. What else can I say about it...the thin crust, sauce that's not too sweet and not too sour, juicy meaty toppings, fresh veggies...the taste says it... (more)

If you get more than 4 toppings, request your pizza WITHOUT sauce; get olive oil instead...I know it sounds crazy, and the sauce is good, but the crust is crispier if you have a lot of toppings...... (more)

One of the best in town. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The wait for a table can be long, but it is worth the wait. World class pizza. (more)

The Scene
There's always a crowd in this jam-packed casual Italian joint. Even in the dead of winter, expect to see folks linked up outside, waiting for a table. And, once inside, expect tight... (more)
