Registration and attendance of CCW classes in Ohio is on the rise as it is across the country and for someone that wants to protect themselves from the selfish attacks that are spreading. Throughout the nation there is a need to be armed and ready to act if a situation that threatens human life arises. Where the government is calling for reform in the sale and ownership of certain weapons the reality is that taking away the constitutional right to bear arms is not the answer to the growing problem of violent crimes against American citizens. Equalization of ownership is not a weakness but it is a deterrent for people that might be considering "going postal" on a neighborhood. With many people owning and carrying concealed weapons there is a lessened likelihood that some nutcase is going to start opening fire on a crowd of innocent people.
All across the country there are gun owners that are looking for better protection from their firearms. Reports on the news are growing as more and more people are losing touch with reality and going on shooting sprees after being upset and disillusioned. In New York City last week a lone gunman was brought down in a police shoot out after he shot and killed a former coworker. In Texas an armed man opened fire inside a religious temple before inflicting himself with a wound and last month in Colorado there was an unprecedented attack on a group of people inside a movie theater. It seems that more and more lone killers are giving gun owners a bad name as they are going after innocent victims. But Gun control is not going to put an end to the violent acts that are capturing national attention. For a responsible citizen that is willing to step in a put an end to the senseless killing sprees that make national news, the need to carry a concealed weapon is taking an increasing number of handgun owners to the workshops where they can earn a license to carry their handgun safely and responsibly wherever they go.
Where some people want to change the laws related to gun ownership the surge in applications for firearms is reflecting the majority of people that support the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Trained in the proper way to responsibly carry and conceal their sidearm many owners of handguns are stepping forward to protect the people that are closest to them and put an end to the senseless violence that is capturing headlines. By passing the CCW classes Ohio residents are showing that they are responsible gun owners who can be called in an emergency to put down someone that is threatening the safety of others.
