One of the largest and most devastating tornados ever recorded hit the community of Joplin Missouri in late spring of 2011. Cutting a swath of destruction through the center of the city and destroying homes, schools and hospitals the F5 tornado brought the residents of Joplin closer to one another than they had ever been. Relief efforts flooded in from all across the country and the citizens of Missouri rallied to help the victims of the powerful storm that ripped apart buildings and uprooted trees. Determined to rebuild the city is still being repaired months after the tragedy but with the help of Missouri general contractors the community is being renewed and homes built in the areas that were hit hardest be the destructive path of the tornado.
Although the eye of the storm separated the city be crushing everything that stood in the way of the tornado many homes and places of business outside the blast zone also sustained some damage.
