Hello,
My name is John Wilkey and Im the owner of Reflective Auto Detailing in Steilacoom, Wa. (Tacoma area).
Have you had someone say they have the experience to detail your ride and it looked good for a few days and then the light hit and all you saw was "Swirl Marks"? These are circle motion marks for the buffer that actually scratched your paint and damaged. This is cause by a rotory buffer that alot of old school body shop guys use to buff out paint, but the days have changed with top quality products due to the arrival of the new level of paints on cars these days. A rotory buffer has it place but only in certain times. I use what you call a DA (Dual Action) Variable buffer by Griots. I do not use a wool pad like the "old school" guys due to the risk of leaving those ugly swirl marks left on your paint. I use high quality foam pads used in the different stages of paint correction, polishing and waxing your cars paint. I do not use "Over the Counter Products" like you can find at your local auto parts store. I only use high quality products that will not harm your paint like: Griots, Chemical Brothers, Zymol, Nanoskin and other fine but proven products that will make your paint have the reflection it deserves and maintain that reflectiveness for a long time. This is just a little of what I do but its very important non the less.
If you have any questions please contact me and I will be more then happy to answer any of your questions.
