1) Good craftsmen fabricate better by hand, while the large granite companies do everything by machine. Machine fabricating is quicker, but doesn't polish the edges as well as hand-polishers. To compensate, some companies wax the edges to make them look better, but wax wears off over time. No other granite company can match the custom handcrafted work that CMG puts into each piece.
2) Some granite companies fabricate each piece individually, CMG pre-assembles the pieces, then fabricates them. This creates a higher quality, more consistent edge detail.
3) The large warehouse chains do not fabricate or install. CMG is a local business serving a small and widespread community. We have our own experienced fabricators and install team on site, which is the key -- you always want local support. Out-of-town and third-party installers are consistently unavailable if you have problems. Local people will support you much better. CMG prides ourselves on the work we do and know that our customers' glowing recommendations are our best advertising.
4) We maintain a better price for our customers by sending them directly to our distributor. This eliminates the cost of a fancy showroom and unnecessary space to store numerous unsold slabs, which in turn saves our customers money.
5) Sending our customers to the distributor, also allows them to view the largest selection of stone available. Unlike most local granite companies, the stone is stored indoors, which protects it from unnecessary sun damage and weathering which can cause dullness and fading. This ensures that our customers receive the highest quality stone that is available.
