2013 Texas Gulf Coast Hurricane Preparation Guides

by Ginger Cannon of Community Network ( 28-Jan-2013 )

The need for Hurricane Preparation along the Texas Gulf Coast this year is very high.  Help your local community prepare by sponsoring your local Hurricane Preparation Guides.  With Hurricane Isaac (New Orleans) and Super storm Sandy (East Coast) last year, we should recognize that storms are much stronger and more destructive in recent years.  Helping communities properly prepare can make a big difference.  Alot of preparation can take place in the next few months before the active season begins.  Click on any community listed below to find out more about the Hurricane Preparation guides that are being mailed in that community and how to become a sponsor on them.

What can advertising on a Hurricane Guide bring to you:

1.  Let the residences know you are a local business before a storm.  Many outside companies come in after a storm take money away from the local economy. Let the community know you are local and have a good reputation in the community.

2. Guides are mailed directly to the homeowners through the Every Door Direct Mail Program (EDDM) from the United States Postal Service.  With this new program, we can mail to certain neighborhoods and communities without the need of a mailing list.  We give the guides to the postal carrier and he/she in turn delivers to every home on his/her carrier route.  The guides will also be available for download on our site through the entire 2013 Hurricane Season.

3.  Preparation Guides are kept the entire Hurricane Season. in the past few years, storms are getting worse and a need to prepare for devastation is at the highest ever.  Your advertising message is reviewed and kept the entire Hurricane Season.

4.  Offer a storm special or preparation special to help the community prepare or recover from a storm.  Let the community  know you care about safety and that you are willing to offer them a discount or special in case of devastation.

5. As low as 5.5 cents per home advertising.  Get your message mailed to homes in your community for as little as 5.5 cents each.  Includes everything, printing and postage fees.
