We take every step to insure our customers have a high quality sign that is designed to their unique needs. We work with the customer to provide them with a finished product that reflects there personality.
Signs are made of Michigan white pine and are appropriately 1.50" thick for long term stability and warping form the outside elements. Signs vary with size and weights, depending on which size the customer orders. A 3/8" jute rope is included for immediate hanging unless otherwise specified in the ordering process. The white pine is a soft wood unlike oak which is a hard wood. We choose to make our signs from white pine because it shows less grain which signs with excessive grain in them take away from the carving.
In the process of cutting wood for signs, we try our best to eliminate the knots, but it is impossible to be 100% knot free. These signs are made from all natural wood so if someone is thinking of vinyl or some other synthetic material then our signs wouldn't be for you.
Signs can be ordered with two different types of finish. We have a UV protectant polyurethane coating which is popular or a more durable sickens product for a more rustic look that comes in two colors cedar or teak.
Completed signs are shipped UPS Ground within 10 days. Sometimes it may take a few more days depending on weather and the drying time in between coats of the final coatings.
