Choosing a Trauma Bag

I have been an EMT for several years now and also a safety director in the manufacturing sector for years. the one thing I look for in any of my equipment is the quality and durability of the product and by that I mean is if I compare the products and dont always buy the lowest price item because I may have to replace it in a couple years where as I would not have if i paid a little more for a Top quality Product it may have lasted my entire career and saved me money in the long run.

In my years of these careers I have bought several Trauma bags and emergency medical kits and trust me you get what you pay for! I purchased a low cost emt bag and as I was looking it over before putting it into service I noticed loose stitching that will eventually be the demise of the bag, I have also been in an emergency where i was not able to easily access the bags contents because the zipper failed and was stuck. This may not seem like a big dilema but when seconds count a faulty zipper could mean the difference between life and death.

Now that I have started my own business I only choose top quality products that i am not going to have to worry about quality issues. I personally love the Ferno trauma bags and emt kits because they are of the highest quality, have the heaviest grade zippers installed, and are backed by a lifetime warranty. Ferno Recognized that the bags get most of there wear on the bottoms, thats why they designed their products to have low cost replaceable bottoms.

I have learned my lesson and will personally only buy Ferno or Saver brand trauma bags, emt bags, and medic kits for my EMS department!
