One of the most important items to do when owning an AED at your business or community place is to inspect your AED Machine every month to assure that the AED Pads  and battery are not expired or fully charged, otherwise owning an AED is pointless if it does not function Properly.

Philips AED pads have a two year shelf life, that means that your M5071A or 989803139261 Philips SMART Pads II will have to be replaced and a new set installed. It is highly recommended that you have two sets of pads for your aed, the reason being is that in an emergency situation you may forget to wipe off the wet patients chest, apply the pads improperly, or the patient may have too much hair on the chest that the pads do not stick and you need to apply a second pair.

The AED battery is just as important to inspect every month as the AED pads, Your M5070A heartstart battery has a typical 4 year shelf life and a 4 year installed life. Along with monthly inspections you must complete the aed itself runs self-checks daily looking for errors and if it were to find one and audible beeping sound would come from the aed alerting you that something was wrong so that the appropriate repairs could be made.

Owning an AED is a great way to show your employees, students, or patrons that you care and want to make a difference in their lives, Having an AED can be a life saving investment but only if it is properly managed.
